Friday 11/16

opening Opening Activity:

Open your Google Drive Vocab book. Today you will do the term 'Center of Gravity '.

Continue with your Building Project. I have a video explanation of the project here if you want to hear it again.

Finish building your robot, and program it.

We may delay the due date to the Monday after the break, if too many teams need extra time.

 Remember to read the rubric.

Wednesday 11/14

opening Opening Activity:

Open your Google Drive Vocab book. Today you will do the term 'brace '.

Continue with your Building Project. I have a video explanation of the project here if you want to hear it again.

Finish building your robot. . I have changed my mind - 
you may use the Riley Rover design, but you must modify it so that it is sturdy and doesn't fall 
apart when we pick it up
. This makes the project easier so the due date will be Friday, November 16th.

Watch this video of an obstacle avoiding robot, using both ultrasonic and touch sensors.
The touch sensors stop the robot when the ultrasonic doesn't see an obstacle.
the light sensor is used only to shine a different colored light depending on the distance 
from an obstacle, it isn't being used as a sensor.

The team document on your Google drive was due on Friday. Make sure that you have finished it.

When I have checked yours, you may get your tubs and start building your robot. I have changed my mind -

Open the Scale Chart for Robot Design. Add name and the date, and pull the next happy face down to your number.
Highlights for the things you have not learned yet. Save to your PERSONAL FOLDER

Come back to the front.

We will look at LEGO materials, and finally, information on actually building a robot.
