LEGO Challenge for Advanced Students
Make your robot Sing and Dance! You can even make it a dance costume.
I have colored paper and pipe cleaners, and googly eyes.
If you want, make arms for the robot to move in time to the music as it dances.
Here are some examples - don't use these, find your own tunes, be original!
Jaws (not really a song, but cute)
Twinkle little star
Jingle Bells
Fϋr Elise
Watch this video on how to find the music.
Use these notes to learn how to program the tune.
You must program a tune yourself.
Read the rubric!
ADVICE:
- You can have two "start" buttons in your program that will start at the same time.
- Put the movement in one line and the music in another
- Time the music in seconds, and
use times to make the music fit the movement.
"
It may help you to annotate your program.
Save it to a LEGO folder on your computer as danceyourname.
To turn it in, look at the instructions below or watch this video:
- Go to Google Drive
- Open the Class Assignment LEGO folder in 'Shared with me'
- Open your class folder and assignment folder
- Click on the "New" button on the top left
- Upload the program from your computer
You may work with a partner, if you want. Do NOT make the movements happen in the order in the rubric. The robot should look as though it is dancing!
Reflect on what you learned in this assignment.
